More Summer news


 
Summer was a busy time considering that it should have been one of the quietest times at our facility.  Here are some of the things that happened that did not get posted earlier.

Burrard Products Terminal Open House.
 

We set up our display and had crafts for the kids.
 
 
 
 

 
 
Cliff showed off his images of wildlife he took there as an employee for 23 years.


 
 
 
Dr. Fish attended as well.  It was a fun event.
 
 
On another occasion, we got a fine donation from the Barnet Rifle Club.
 
 
 Our August BBQ featured three types of salmon and some other interesting dishes.


 We celebrated our 13th year as a society.

About 25 members and family members attended.


 Shane and Vlad covered the big bypass valve for the pond.
 
 
We had another group of ESL students take a tour.
 
 
Everyone got a fish head balloon hat to break the ice.
 
 
 It's a hands on experience that helps to communicate our desire to respect nature.
 
 
We had another fish weigh.
 
 
A visitor from England kept count.
 
 
 Another task completed.
 
 
Our much respected Hatchery Manager, Nigel Butterfield, passed away near the end of the month.  We will all miss him.
