Removing silt from section of Hyde Creek

In what is becoming an annual task, the section of Hyde Creek next to Coast Meridian Road in Port Coquitlam needs to have the build-up of sand removed to prepare for the arrival of salmon in the fall.  The City of Port Coquitlam does an excellent job in this sensitive environmental area.  Before the job can begin, any resident fish and other aquatic creatures have to be removed and that is where our members help out.    Many thanks to Andy Davey for the great photos.
